I've been thinking lately if we can also think of the style roots when considering which perfume to use. I have different perfumes and they give a different vibe depending what I'm wearing….? - Nagore
I am not a perfume expert by any means, but after a little research these are the best scents I think you could go for based on each style root
🌑 Moon - spicy, smoky, woody: leather, tobacco, dark chocolate, black pepper
🌸 Flower - floral, fruity: peony, jasmine, rose, vanilla
🔥 Fire - orientual, rich: musk, amber, patchouli, exotic flowers, sandalwood, vanilla
🌱 Earth - woody, green: moss, cedar, pine, herbs
🪨 Stone - fresh, energetic, green, aquatic: grapefruit, mint, bergamot
🍄 Mushroom - clean, minimalist: cotton, linen, white tea, bamboo, lily of the valley, freesia
🏔️ Mountain - bold, sophisticated, aromatic, spicy: blackcurrant, moss, leather, incense
☀️ Sun - eclectic, vibrant, tropical, playful: mango, coconut, cotton candy, peony
I know I’m a flamboyant natural but how to go from that to creating a wardrobe? - Vue
The first step is to identify the basics of the wardrobe you want to create and then how you could adapt that item to your body type. You can then grow this outwards, find items you already own of course which work.
t-shirt - wide neck, open sleeve
jeans - bootcut, palazzo or flared
boots - chunky heel, solid leather
day bag - large and slouched
jacket - long and draped - a trench/camel coat
trousers - flared, mid-low waist
How to be confident wearing unusual style (true to my style but “weird in terms of trends) - Allison
The trick to becoming more confident being authentic with your style is to show up every day. Perhaps you start with a bag which feels a little outside the norm. The next day you add another item. Of course, the more you do this, the more you realise everyone is too busy thinking about themselves. If they do happen to notice you or judge you…
They’re unlikely to say anything and you would never know.
It is okay for someone not to like what you are wearing, it really has nothing to do with you - everyone has things they do or don’t like.
They might be jealous - it is such a human response to try to put down people who are branching outside of their comfort zone, to pull you back in so they feel less insecure and challenged about their own approach.
They probably are thinking they wish they had dressed like you, or they had the confidence to pull off what you have tried
These little reminders should help you to leave the house and embrace something new!
